Elevation Dance Studios Story
Elevation Dance Studios began in 2017, in the most magical little place — a small church hall in Richmond.
It wasn’t big, and it wasn’t flashy… but it was beautiful. High ceilings that made every movement feel a little more expansive, wooden floorboards that held the sound of tiny feet learning to dance, and a gorgeous garden just outside that gave the whole space a calm, joyful energy. Most importantly, it was filled with incredible students and families — the kind who bring warmth, laughter, and belief to something new. That first group of dancers helped shape the heart of who we are, and the values Elevation Dance Studios would be built on.
Before long, we outgrew Richmond — a sign of something exciting unfolding. We began running extra classes at Carlton’s Dance House, and we felt so proud to be part of the Melbourne dance community. Every new class, every new dancer, every new connection reminded us that we weren’t just building a timetable… we were building a community.
And then… we outgrew both venues.
The next chapter took us to Brunswick East, where we found a beautiful space that was a little unusual in shape, but full of potential. For the first time, Elevation Dance Studios had a home of its own — one space, one community, one vision. We offered six days a week of classes, and over time, that studio became more than just a place to dance. It became a place where children felt safe, supported, and celebrated. A space where friendships formed, confidence grew, and dancers began to truly discover who they were.
But just like before, our community continued to grow — and soon we had outgrown that space too.
That’s when we found our current home: our Lobb Street studio.
What stands here today is the result of a huge transformation — one built with love, determination, and the support of my incredibly talented husband and family. Together, we renovated the space into the studio it is now: a place that reflects everything Elevation Dance Studios stands for.
At every step of this journey — from Richmond to Carlton, from Brunswick East to Lobb Street — one thing has stayed the same.
We have always been committed to offering classes that inspire children to become the very best versions of themselves.
At Elevation Dance Studios, dance is more than technique. It’s confidence. It’s self-expression. It’s resilience. It’s joy. It’s belonging.
Each year that passes, our studio continues to grow, and our values have become even more deeply consolidated — at the heart of everything we do. Every dancer who walks through our doors becomes part of the Elevation story, and we are so proud of what we’ve built together.
This is Elevation Dance Studios.
And our story is still unfolding.
