 Elevation Dance Studios was established to provide movers of all ages with an encouraging environment to explore, grow, develop and relish in the wonderful world of dance. Our love for dance goes beyond one style, we offer classes in Contemporary, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Tap, Commercial, Lyrical, Pointe, Hip Hop, Singing privates, VCE Dance and Acrobatics.

Please read on to find an extensive list of important information regarding our dance school and the special events we hold throughout the year.

Important Dates

2025 Term Dates:

Term 1: Tuesday 28th Jan - Saturday 5th April

Term 2: Tuesday 22nd of April - Saturday 5th of July

Term 3: Monday 21st of July - Saturday 20th of September

Term 4: Monday 6th of October - Saturday 6th of December

At EDS we work towards 4 major productions throughout the year:

1. Mid Year Showcase

2. Junior Concert

3. Pre Inter/ R.A.D Concert (New to this year)

4. Senior Concert

To see what concerts your child is participating in, please see the above info in concert dates. If your student/s are enrolled in the participating classes, it will be expected they perform in the relevant productions.

Concert Fees

Here are the associated fees for the concert:

1. Costume hire -$45 per class

2. Purchase fee - $100

3. Footage fee - $37

4. Dress Rehearsal fee (at theatre)- $35

5. In House Rehearsal fee (at studio) - $25

2025 Enrolments

ONGOING ENROLMENTS

• Your enrolments will automatically roll over into the following term. If you need to alter your schedule, you will need to email us prior to your invoice being issued to avoid admin fees.

GENERAL ENROLMENT INFO

• If your personal details (e.g. phone numbers, emails address etc) change, please notify EDS as soon as possible or update in your customer portal.

• Our main source of communication will come through email and must be read. Please remember to check your junk mail.

• In the unlikely event of a another Government enforced lock down, we will run our classes via zoom, in the same way schools would. Your child’s continued participation is expected.

Term Fees

• Term fees are to be paid in full, within two weeks of being sent out.

• Late payment of term fees will incur a $5.00 additional late fee per student for each week overdue.

• If you have not received your invoice, notify EDS as soon as possible. (Please remember to check your junk mail)

• We have four performances throughout the year.  By enrolling in any of the classes involved in these performances, you are agreeing to all the fees and costs associated with these events.  This will include a footage fee ($37.00), rehearsal fees ($25.00-$35.00), costume hire fees ($45.00) and/or costume purchase fees ($100.00) for each class.  We will endeavour to reuse costumes where ever possible for the sake of the environment and cost to families. The costume hire/purchase is at the discretion of the studio. Certain factors are considered such as availability, quantity and the space we have available to store all costume items. These costs are subject to change.

• If you wish to trial a class at Elevation, you will be offered one complimentary class pass. If the child continues, you will be invoiced for the remaining classes of that term.

• There is an annual $35 enrolment fee to cover administrative costs. This fee is non refundable and applied to your first invoice for the year.  

• If a class is cancelled by EDS a replacement class will be arranged or a credit note will be issued and applied to next terms fees.

• Cancellation of enrolment must be made before fees are invoiced for the coming term. Once you enrol into a class, you will be invoiced for the entire term. There is no concession for school camps, family holidays, sickness etc. This is due to our capped classes/ lesson plans for performance items.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS, WATER AND FOOD

• For health and safety reasons all medical/ health conditions must be reported to the school. If you have medical action plan, this must be supplied to the studio.

• Any students requiring an Epipen/ asthma inhaler must bring their own to each class.

• All students should bering their own labelled drink water.

• Students may bring mess free snack (no nuts), however it will not be allowed in the studio.

• We have a no-gum policy in class.

STUDIO ETIQUETTE AND SAFETY

• Mutual respect between students, parents and the staff of EDS is integral for the health, well being and enjoyment of everyone at our studio. Disrespectful behaviour will be met with verbal warnings, action plans and in some cases refusal of enrolment.

• All students & carers are expected to treat everyone with kindness and respect.

FILM & PHOTOGRAPHY

• Families are not permitted to take videos or photos of students in class or around the studio. This is due to the fact that not everyone has given consent for this activity and we must respect their decision.

• Our teachers may film their choreography, however these recordings are used for lesson planning and are not shared on any social media platforms. 

• Students in our senior school are allowed to film themselves in class for at home practice, however must ask permission first and are not permitted to share on any social media platforms.

• We will only use footage and photos of students who have been given permission by their families on our marketing and social media pages.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP

• Prompt drop off and pick up must be arranged. Our front desk is not always attended and therefore we can not guarantee there will be someone supervising your child if you are late.

• In the instance that you are late to pick up your child please call to notify the studio. If teachers have to wait at the end of their shift to supervise, you will be invoiced for a late fee to cover our teachers time.

COMMUNICATION

• If parents have a question or wish to discuss anything with the staff, please email info@elevationdancestudios.com.au or leave a message with the front desk. Unfortunately there is little time between classes to answer questions and our reception staff are always happy to help.

• Our teachers personal details will not be handed out and should not be requested.
